What is BS 1377-6 – soil permeability tests and pore pressure measurement about?
Soil testing is a very important part of building and road construction projects. BS 1377-6 discusses methods of testing for soil for civil engineering purposes. BS 1377-6 is the sixth part of the multi-series, and specifies methods of test for the determination of consolidation and permeability characteristics of saturated soils using apparatus which is more complex than that used for the tests described in BS 1377-5 .
