BS 2693-1 discusses standards for Screwed studs used for general engineering purposes. BS 2693-1 relates to screwed studs intended for general purposes and having threads with coarse or fine pitches in accordance with BS 1580 , Unified screw threads (UNC or UNF); BS 84, Screw threads of Whitworth form (B.S.W. or B.S.F.); or threads in accordance with BS 93, B.A. screw threads. The dimensional requirements of BS 2693-1 apply both to ferrous and non-ferrous studs, but mechanical properties are given only in respect of steel studs. BS 2693-1 provides you with standard nominal lengths and tolerances on the standard nominal lengths of screwed studs.
