What is BS 5126-1 - Specification for direct-on-line motor starters about?
BS 5126-1 is a British Standard which specifies requirements for flameproof supply and control units designed primarily for use in the coal mining industry. Provision is also made in BS 5126-1 for operation on other voltages, where required. In addition to the definitive requirements, BS 5126-1 also requires the items detailed in clause 4 to be documented. For compliance with BS 5126-1 , both the definitive requirements and the documented items have to be satisfied.
