BS 5315 is a British standard on the specification for Hose clamps. The main aim of BS 5315 is to provide a hi-torque clamp that prevents hose connections from slacking, and also prevents leakage. BS 5315 specifies the requirements for worm drive hose clamps for general purpose use in the size range commencing at 12 mm. Hose clamps above size 140 mm are used for a variety of purposes including strapping.
