BS 5385-3 gives recommendations on the choice of materials, application practices and, where appropriate, on the design of backgrounds and structural bases of ceramic and mosaic tiles. BS 5385-3 covers the design, installation and maintenance of such tiling, bedded on concrete, cement and sand and calcium sulfate-based screeds, timber, flooring grade asphalt and existing hard floor finishes in normal conditions.
