Abstract
BS 5440-2:2009 Flueing and ventilation for gas appliances of rated input not exceeding 70 kW net (1st, 2nd and 3rd family gases). Specification for the installation and maintenance of ventilation provision for gas appliances BS 5440-2 gives practical guidance to gas installers for installing and maintaining gas appliance combustion and/or cooling ventilation. BS 5440-2 specifies the requirements for the installation and maintenance of ventilation provision relating to gas appliances utilizing 1st, 2nd or 3rd family gases, with a rated heat input not exceeding 70 kW based on net CV (net calorific value). It applies to provisions used for domestic or non-domestic purposes. BS 5440-2 does not cover:
