Abstract
What is BS 5666-5 - Zinc naphthenate in preservative solutions and treated timber about? 5666-5 discusses method of analysis of wood preservatives and treated timber. The aim of BS 5666 is to provide the best industrial practice to determine the reliability of the wood preservative. 5666-5 is the fifth part of the BS 5666 series of standards that describes procedures for the determination of zinc naphthenate, expressed as zinc, in preservative solutions and in treated timber. Two methods are described: an atomic absorption spectrophotometric method and a colorimetric method.
