Abstract
This British Standard, a part of the BS 598 series, describes a hot sand test method for determining the condition of the binder on coated chippings and a method for measuring the rate of spread of coated chippings. The changes from the previous edition include the use of new sieve sizes which are used for the definition of the actual mixtures and their size designations.
