Abstract
What is BS 6068-2.31 — Physical, chemical, and biochemical methods about? BS 6068-2.31 is the 31 st section of the multi-series standard that specifies a formaldoxime spectrometric method for the determination of total manganese (including dissolved, suspended and organically bound manganese) in surface and drinking water. The method described in BS 6068-2.31 is applicable to the determination of manganese concentrations between 0,01 mg/l and 5 mg/l. Manganese concentrations above 5 mg/l may be determined after suitable dilution of the sample. For known possible interferences, see clause 8. NOTE This method is not applicable to highly contaminated waters such as industrial wastewater.
Who is BS 6068-2.31 — Physical, chemical, and biochemical methods for? BS 6068-2.31 on the Physical, chemical, and biochemical methods are useful for:
Wastewater collecting systems Wastewater treatment plants Plants treating industrial wastewater Water supply treatment plants
Why should you use BS 6068-2.31 — Physical, chemical, and biochemical methods ? The manganese formaldoxime complex is stable between pH values of 9,5 and 10,5, and the intensity of the color prod...
