Abstract
What is BS 6200-3.1.4 – Ferrous metals about?
BS 6200-3.1.4 standard is a part of the BS 6200 series that discusses the non-alloyed steel using flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for sampling and analysis of iron, steel and other ferrous metals. Ferrous metals such as cast and wrought iron or carbon steel are known for their tensile strength and durability. BS 6200-3.1.4 specifies a flame atomic absorption spectrometric method for the determination of acid-soluble and/or total aluminum in non-alloyed steel. The method is applicable to aluminum contents between 0,005 % (m/m) and 0,20 % (m/m).
