What is BS 7160 - Anchor chains for small craft about?

BS 7160 specifies the dimensions, characteristics and tolerances as well as galvanizing of anchor chains intended for use with small craft windlasses. BS 7160 applies to anchor chains of nominal diameters between 6 and 12 mm, intended for anchoring small craft and which can be controlled using windlasses. Note: BS 7160 does not apply to chains for lifting purposes
