BS 7190 is a European Standard that covers the assessment of the thermal performance of hot water boiler using a test rig, ensuring stable operability, resilience and durability in boiler operations. BS 7190 describes a procedure for assessing the thermal performance of low-temperature hot water boilers that are intended for central heating or indirect hot water supply and which are fired with solid, liquid or gaseous fuels. In BS 7190 , the thermal efficiency is obtained by the direct method of test and is established to within a tolerance of ± 2 % points.
