BS 812 is the British Standard for testing aggregates. The main objective of the BS 812 series is to provide the best industry guidance to ensure construction materials contribute to the structural integrity of your civil engineering works. BS 812-111 is the 111 th part of the BS 812 series that describes methods for the determination of the ten per cent fines value (TFV) of aggregates which give a relative measure of the resistance of an aggregate to crushing under a gradually applied compressive load. Two procedures are described, one in which the aggregate is tested in a dry condition and the other in a soaked condition.
