Abstract
What is BS EN 13052-1 - Determine the colour and turbidity of test waters about?
BS EN 13052 is a European Standard on the influence of materials on water intended for human consumption. The main aim of the BS EN 13052 series is to ensure the quality of water to protect from health risks and meet the regulatory requirements and adhere to the safety procedures that are needed for pollutant-free water. BS EN 13052-1 is the first part of the BS EN 13052 series that specifies a method for determining the colour and turbidity of test waters after their contact with the organic materials used in piping systems. The term “products” comprises pipes, fittings, ancillaries including their coatings and joints.
