BS EN 13126 is a European Standard on building hardware for windows and door height windows. It is a multipart product standard which enables the testing of hardware components or sets. The main aim of the BS EN 13126 series is to help manufacturers of hardware for windows and door height windows demonstrate the performance and reliability of their devices. BS EN 13126-19 is the 19th part of the BS EN 13126 series that specifies requirements and test methods for durability, strength, security and the functionality of Sliding Closing Devices (SCDs) for windows and door height windows. Note: BS EN 13126-19 does not specifically cover the handles used in handle-operated SCDs or the sash fasteners used in cam-operated SCDs, requirements and test methods for which are given in EN 13126-3 and EN 13126-14 , respectively.
