Abstract
What is BS EN 16631 — Reconditioning of pressure relief valves about?
BS EN 16631 is an international standard that covers specifications for LPG equipment and accessories. BS EN 16631 specifies the requirements for the reconditioning, retesting, and certification of Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs) for LPG pressure vessels. BS EN 16631 specifies the technicalities such as terms, definitions, materials used, inspection pattern, the procedure for reconditioning, pressure setting of PRV, process for changing the set pressure, etc. for reconditioning of pressure relief valves. BS EN 16631 applies to retesting and reconditioning of PRVs that are carried out in a workshop and does not apply to site adjustment of installed PRVs.
