What is BS EN 4674-003 - Protective open sleeve for aerospace cables about ?
Protective sleeves are industrial tools which are used to insulate, and protect the cables to keep it safe from temperature damage. BS EN 4674-003 specifies the characteristics of flexible 5 kA self-wrapping shielding (EMI) protection sleeves, to be installed inside pressurized areas on electrical cables or cable bundles, made from nickel plated copper strands, and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide) monofilament. BS EN 4674-003 determines the temperature range within which the self-wrapping shielding (EMI) protective open sleeve can be used is between − 65 °C to 200 °C.
