1   Scope This part of EN 500 specifies the safety requirements for compaction machines as defined in Clause 3 and deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to compaction machines , when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable. This document specifies additional requirements to and/or exceptions from EN 500‑1 ”Common requirements”. This part of EN 500 is not applicable for seated ride-on operated rollers with a drum width less than nominal 0,8 m.
