Abstract
What is BS EN 50341-2-19 – Overhead electrical line about?
BS EN 50341-2-19 is a part of the BS EN 50341 series of European standards that discusses the national normative aspects for CZECH republic for overhead electrical lines exceeding AC 1 kV. Overhead lines or overhead wires are used to transmit electrical energy to trams, trolleybuses and trains. BS EN 50341-2-19 specifies the new overhead line is considered a brand new electric overhead line with nominal voltage exceeding 1 kV AC, between points A and B. The new branch line of the existing overhead line is considered a new overhead line except for junction support for which the specific requirements are defined in the Project Specification.
