What is BS EN 570 - Impact extrusion slugs about?
BS EN 570 specifies the technical conditions for inspection and delivery, tolerances on dimensions and form and other requirements for flat or preformed wrought aluminium and wrought aluminium alloy slugs for impact extrusion. BS EN 570 applies to slugs produced either by punching rolled products or by cutting extruded products. Slugs covered in BS EN 570 are suitable for the manufacture of impact-extruded parts for packaging and industrial applications.
