What is BS EN 60099-4 ‒ Metal-oxide surge arresters about ?
BS EN 60099-4 is the fourth part of an international multi-series standard that covers guidelines for surge arresters. BS EN 60099-4 presents the minimum criteria for the requirements and testing of gapless metal-oxide surge arresters that are applied to AC power systems with U s above 1 kV. BS EN 60099-4 applies to non-linear metal-oxide resistor type surge arresters without spark gaps designed to limit voltage surges on AC power circuits with U s above 1 kV.
