Abstract
What is BS EN 60264-5-2 – Spools for winding wire packaging about?
The wire is packaged into specially designed and reinforced spools that protect the wire in transport and storage. Every spool is evenly wound with proper tension and pitch to minimize any difficulty in the payoff. BS EN 60264 series discusses standards for packaging of winding wires. BS EN 60264-5-2 is one of a series which deals with insulated wires used for windings in electrical equipment. BS EN 60264-5-2 specifies the requirements for returnable cylindrical barrelled delivery spools with conical flanges made from thermoplastic material.
