Abstract
What is BS EN 60297-3-107 - Dimensions of subracks and plug-in units about?
New technologies requiring smaller plug-in unit form factors used in 19 in equipment practice are rapidly gaining acceptance. The IEC 60297 series of standards provides definitions of mechanical structure and dimensions for 19 in cabinets and racks and their compatible subracks and chassis. The combination of 19 in based cabinets or racks and subracks and chassis is broadly applied to all industrial electronic fields in the world. BS EN 60297-3-107 provides for an alternative/smaller form factor of plug-in units as defined in IEC 60297-3-101.
