Abstract
What is BS EN 6031- Aerospace series: Fibre reinforced plastics about? BS EN 6031 is a standard that serves technical specifications for Aerospace series: Fibre reinforced plastics, enabling high fatigue strength and high chemical resistance in aerospace applications. BS EN 6031 specifies the procedure for determining the in-plane shear strength and modulus of fibre composites. The procedure is based on the uni-axial tensile stress-strain response of a ± 45° laminate which is symmetrically laminated about the mid-plane. BS EN 6031 applies to composite laminates manufactured from unidirectional tape or woven fabric reinforcement.
