Abstract
What is BS EN 60426 - Determination of electrolytic corrosion test methods about?
BS EN 60426 is a British Standard that specifies the methods of the effect of electrolytic corrosion on insulating materials. BS EN 60426 is a guide on the ability of insulating materials to produce electrolytic corrosion on metals being in contact with them under the influence of electric stress, high humidity and elevated temperature. BS EN 60426 provides a guideline on determining electrolytic corrosion, which involves tensile strength measurement of copper wire.
