Abstract
What is BS EN 60512-11-13 - Verifying gas-tight areas between wrapped wire about?
Electrical connectors are used to join electrical conductors to create an electrical circuit. BS EN 60512-11-13 , when required by the detail specification, is used for testing electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detailed specification. The object of BS EN 60512-11-13 is to define a standard test method to verify that gas-tight areas have been formed between the wrapped wire and the post of a wrapped connection. Note: This is a destructive test.
