Abstract
What is BS EN 60512-14-2 - Assessing the air leakage sealing of connectors about?
Electrical connectors are used to join electrical conductors to create an electrical circuit. BS EN 60512-14-2 , when required by the detail specification, is used for testing connectors within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. It may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detailed specification. The object of BS EN 60512-14-2 is to detail a standard test method to assess the effectiveness of seals against gas pressure differentials. Note: The test may be done using two test chambers; this facilitates the detection of tracer gas and operation at low barometric pressures, for example, in mountainous regions.
