Abstract
What is BS EN 60512-4-2 - Voltage stress tolerance of connectors about?
Electrical connectors are used to join electrical conductors to create an electrical circuit. BS EN 60512-4-2 is a part of an international multi-series standard that focuses on aspects of connectors for electronic equipment . BS EN 60512-4-2 , when required by the detail specification, discusses the testing of electromechanical components within the scope of IEC technical committee 48. This test may also be used for similar devices when specified in a detail specification. The object of BS EN 60512-4-2 is to define a standard test method to assess the ability of an electromechanical component to be used under specified voltage conditions without showing partial discharges.
