BS EN 60654 is a European standard that discusses operating conditions for industrial-process measurement and control equipment. BS EN 60654-3 is the third part of the multi-part series that outlines the specific operating conditions of vibration, shock, seismic, and mechanical stress conditions to land-based and off-shore, industrial-process measurement and control systems or parts of systems that may be exposed during operation, storage, or transportation. The operating influences considered in BS EN 60654-3 are limited to those which may directly affect the performance of process measurement and control systems. Note 1: Maintenance and repair conditions are excluded from consideration in BS EN 60654-3. Note 2: Effects of the specific operating conditions on personnel are not within the scope of BS EN 60654-3 . Note 3: Conditions are considered under BS EN 60654-3 but the effects of these conditions on instruments’ performance are specifically excluded.
