What is BS EN 61029-2-8 - Single-spindle vertical moulders about?
BS EN 61029-2-8 is a part of the BS EN 61029 multi-series that discusses the safety of transportable motor-operated tools. BS EN 61029-2-8 applies to transportable single-spindle vertical moulders, with a maximum cutter block diameter of 200 mm maximum, designed to cut wood and analogue materials also covered with plastic laminate or edgings by hand-feed operation. BS EN 61029-2-8 has to be used in conjunction with BS EN 61029-1 as it provides general safety requirements that are common to a majority of transportable motor-operated electric tools.
