Abstract
What is BS EN 61300-3-31 — Coupled power ratio (CPR) coefficient about?
BS EN 61300-3-31 is an international standard that discusses the test and measurement procedures for fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components. BS EN 61300-3-31 describes the method to measure the coupled power ratio (CPR) coefficient. CPR measurements are used to characterize optical sources and to standardize the launch conditions for measurements of attenuation on multimode fibres and insertion loss according to IEC 61300-3-4 . The CPR coefficient is measured at both 850 nm and 1300 nm wavelengths.
