BS EN 61753 is a series on fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components. Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components is a fibre optic telecommunications technology for delivering broadband network access to end customers. BS EN 61753-1-3 defines the minimum initial performance, test and measurement requirements and severities that a connector or cable assembly with single-mode fibres needs to satisfy in order to be categorized as meeting IEC Category I (industrial environment).
