BS EN 61755 is a series on fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components. Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components is a fibre optic telecommunications technology for delivering broadband network access to end customers. BS EN 61755-3-10 defines certain dimensional limits of a 125 μm diameter single-mode silica fibre optical interface and an alignment bore to meet specific requirements for nonangled fibre-to-fibre interconnection. The silica fibre materials specified in BS EN 61755-3-10 are suitable for use in categories C, U, E and O.
