Abstract
What is BS EN 61822 – CCR for the AGL series circuit requirements about?
The Constant Current Regulator (CCR) is designed to provide precision control of runway lightning circuits. BS EN 61822 is an International Standard that discusses electrical installations for lighting and beaconing of aerodromes. BS EN 61822 specifies the requirements for a CCR having a nominal output of 6,6 A for use in an aeronautical ground lighting constant current series circuit. However, CCRs may be manufactured which have a different power rating (kVA) and current steps than those specified in BS EN 61822 in order to be used on existing circuits. BS EN 61822 should be applied where appropriate for these CCRs.
