What is BS EN 61952 - Composite line post insulators for A.C. systems about?
BS EN 61952 is a British standard on composite line post insulators. BS EN 61952 is a guideline on the definition of the terms used, to prescribe test methods and prescribe acceptance or failure criteria. The composite line post insulators covered in the standard BS EN 61952 are subjected to cantilever, tensile and compressive loads. Also, the composite line post insulators are supporting the line conductors. They are intended for use on a.c. overhead lines with a rated voltage greater than 1000 V and a frequency not greater than 100 Hz. Notes:
