Abstract
What is BS EN 62779-2 - Semiconductor interface for human body communication about? BS EN 62779-2 is an international standard used for semiconductor devices that specifies the general and functional interface of the human body. This interface is useful in determining the electrical performance of the semiconductor interface. BS EN 62779-2 is the second part of the Semiconductor devices in multi-series that defines a measurement method on electrical performances of an electrode that composes a semiconductor interface for human body communication (HBC). In the measurement method, a signal transmitter is electrically isolated from a signal receiver, so an isolation condition between the transmitter and receiver is maintained to accurately measure the electrode’s performances. BS EN 62779-2 includes general and functional specifications of the measurement method. Note: HBC semiconductor interface consists of an electrode and analog front end. Note: General analog and digital modulation techniques can be used to modulate a near field used in HBC, and a modulation technique to be used is determined according to required performances for data transmission and an HBC application.
