What is BS EN IEC 60730-2-7 about? BS EN IEC 60730-2-7 discusses timers and time switches. BS EN IEC 60730-2-7 specifies requirements for timers and time switches that operate an electric switch are controlled by the timing mechanism. Note 1: BS EN IEC 60730-2-7 applies to timers and time switches that use electricity, gas, oil, solid fuel, solar thermal energy, etc. or a combination thereof, including heating, air conditioning and similar applications. Note 2: BS EN IEC 60730-2-7 applicable to individual timers utilized as a part of a control system or timers which are mechanically integral with multifunctional controls having non-electrical outputs. Note 3: BS EN IEC 60730-2-7 does not apply to multi-functional controls having an integrated timing function which is not capable of being tested as a separate timing device.
