1   Scope This International Standard establishes procedures and describes the recommended practices for the manual and automatic measurement and accounting of bulk quantities of crude petroleum (including spiked, blended and reconstituted crude petroleum) transferred from one port to another by marine tank vessels. This International Standard provides a reliable basis for establishing the quantities of crude petroleum transferred. The procedures apply to the transportation of crude petroleum from loading to discharge.
