Abstract
What is BS EN IEC 61756 ‑ 1 about?
BS EN IEC 61756 is a series of fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components. BS EN IEC 61756 ‑ 1 covers general information on fibre management system interfaces. BS EN IEC 61756 ‑ 1 includes the definitions and rules under which a fibre management system (FMS) interface is created. BS EN IEC 61756 ‑ 1 also provides criteria to identify the minimum bending radius for stored fibres. BS EN IEC 61756 ‑ 1 allows both single-mode and multimode fibres to be used.
Note 1: Liquid, gas or dust sealing requirements at the cable entry area or cable element ending are not covered in BS EN IEC 61756 ‑ 1.
