BS EN IEC 62485‑6 is a part of the European standard that applies to battery installation used for electric off-road vehicles.
BS EN IEC 62485‑6 provides requirements on safety aspects associated with the installation, use, inspection, maintenance and disposal of lithium-ion batteries.
Main application fields include Industrial areas for cleaning machines, trucks for material handling, electrically pro pulsed platforms as well as other application electric-powered boats and ships.
Note 1: BS EN IEC 62485‑6 does not cover railway vehicles.
Note 2: BS EN IEC 62485‑6 does not cover batteries and battery installation for the propulsion of electric road vehicles.
