A coaxial RF connector (radio frequency connector) is an electrical connector designed to work at radio frequencies in the multi-megahertz range. BS EN IEC 63138 ‑ 1 is a generic specification, that specifies general requirements for multi-channel radio-frequency connectors, including terms and definitions, design and construction, ratings and characteristics, climatic categories, IEC type designation, requirements and test procedures, quality assessment, marking, etc. BS EN IEC 63138 ‑ 1 provides the basis for establishing the sectional specifications for various multichannel radiofrequency connector types.
