ISO 7971 discusses the determination of bulk density called mass per hectolitre in cereals. ISO 7971 is an international standard that provides a routine method for the determination of bulk density in cereals to improve the quality of cereals. ISO 7971‑3 is the third part of a multi-part series that specifies a routine method for the determination of bulk density, called “mass per hectolitre”, of cereals as grain using manual or automatic, mechanical, electric, or electronic mass per hectolitre measuring instruments. The mass per hectolitre of cereal is obtained from the mass of a volume of cereal determined under controlled sample filling and flow conditions.
