Abstract
What is ISO 8780-1 – Assessment of dispersion characteristics of pigments and extenders about? ISO 8780-1 discusses pigments and extenders. The aim of the ISO 8780 series is to provide best industry practices for the dispersion of pigments that help in determining the characteristics of paints. ISO 8780-1 is the first part of the ISO 8780 series of standards that gives an introduction to the various methods, described in subsequent parts of ISO 8780, for dispersing pigments and/or extenders in a particular binder system in order to assess the dispersion characteristics.
