BS IEC 62873-2 is the second part of an international multi-series standard that outlines the vocabulary for residual current devices.  
BS IEC 62873-2 provides the terms and definitions used in RCD product standards. It gives definitions relating to currents flowing from live parts to earth, the energization of an RCD, the operation and functions of an RCD, values, and ranges of energizing quantities, and arcing time. BS IEC 62873-2 gives coordination between overcurrent protective devices in series and explains the terminology for values and ranges of influencing quantities, terminals, operating conditions, insulation coordination, etc.
