What is  ISO 50046 ‒ Predicting energy savings about?

ISO 50046 is an international standard that deals with solutions for energy management and energy savings. ISO 50046 specifies general methods for the calculation of predicting energy savings (PrES), using measure-based calculation methods, also known as bottom-up or energy performance improvement actions (EPIAs)-based methods. ISO 50046 provides general principles for categorizing and choosing the method, taking account of the context, targeted accuracy, and resources available for calculating the predicted energy savings (PrES). Note: Indicator-based methods and total-consumption-based methods are not included in the scope of  ISO 50046 .
