Abstract
BS ISO 8548-5:2003 establishes a method of describing those attributes of a person who has had an amputation which may affect their rehabilitation. Considerations highlighted include:
personal factors
condition of the musculoskeletal system
condition of the amputation stump(s)
condition of the remaining limbs
general clinical condition
motivation and perceived needs.
