IEC 60335-2-39:2021

Overview

IEC 60335-2-39:2021 is the international safety standard for commercial electric multi-purpose cooking pans. It specifies safety requirements for electrically operated appliances used for commercial food processing (not for household or public catering areas). The standard covers appliances with rated voltages up to 250 V for single-phase (phase-to-neutral) and 480 V for other supplies, and it explicitly includes pressurized appliances and appliances containing pressurized parts. This seventh edition (2021) with Amendment 1 (2025) constitutes a technical revision aligned with IEC 60335-1:2020.
