IEC 60335-2-95:2023 - “Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-95” is the international safety standard for electric drives for vertically moving garage doors for residential use. It covers drives (including DC-supplied and battery-operated appliances) with rated voltages up to 250 V for single‑phase and 480 V for other appliances. The standard addresses electrical and mechanical hazards associated with the movement of electrically driven garage doors, and also applies to entrapment protection devices supplied for use with drives.
