IEC 61316:2021 - Industrial cable reels is the third edition of the IEC International Standard for cable reels with non-detachable flexible cables used primarily in industrial environments. This edition replaces IEC 61316:1999 and incorporates updated test methods and requirements previously included in IEC 60309‑1. The standard covers cable reels with rated voltages up to 690 V AC/DC, frequencies up to 500 Hz, and rated currents up to 63 A, intended for indoor or outdoor industrial use and compatible with IEC 60309 series accessories.
