Overview
ISO 1014-1:2025 - "Coke - Part 1: Determination of apparent relative density" specifies a standardized laboratory method to determine the apparent relative density of coke. The standard defines the ratio of the mass of a given volume of dry coke to the mass of an equal volume of water using displacement (Archimedes’ principle). It covers sample preparation, required apparatus, two approved test procedures (elliptical tank weighing and rectangular tank with spout displacement), calculation, precision limits, and reporting requirements.
